Understand companies worries and the solution

Most companies are very worried to hire disabled because they feel persons with disability will be very sensitive. This is not true for some people. But it could be true if you have done very less responsibilities and if people have not been frank when you have made mistakes. Understand trust bank

Companies want employees whom they can trust and who are reliable. Be flexible about salary. Think of learnings

Write your learnings every day. We call it a learning bank. Learning bank only grows and never gets debited. When you do your first job, your salary may be low but if you keep learning, your learning bank will grow. When you have a big learning bank, your experiences and expertise will be more. Be flexible if job is far away

Learn to enable yourself daily

As a person with vision impairment, you are finding small solutions for your daily problems. For example – you put a rubber band on your tooth brush to identify it. Learn basic skill of note taking

Companies worry that a visually impaired will not be able to do basic activities and will be dependent at work. This is actually true for some visually impaired especially late blind non braille users. Why - because they have been dependent on others sometimes for noting down small information. such as taking notes independently. Others who use braille and mobile may not know that in a company, they need to be quick and not make mistakes when they take information down. It is important for persons with visual impairment to know how to communicate their methods and solutions. This is self-marketing or self-advocacy, talking about the solutions and methods used. Enhance your spellings

Do you know that you may be mixing words that sound the same such as Here and Hear? Do you know that visually impaired are working in skilled computer jobs and are earning Rs. 7000 upto 1 lac? They have gained respect in their company by using the spelling tool. There are more than 3000 words including company names for you to practice continuously.
