  • Learn from the experiences of the pioneer in placements of persons with disability. Attend the 5 day basic training for employment officers and complete the 10 hour online training. Curriculum has been developed by experts with and without disability with a combined knowledge of 75+ years of employment of persons with disability.

  • Step 4 - Get started by targeting known companies

  • Target known companies or use the company names while talking to other companies who have not hired persons with disability. Also use the brochures on visually impaired and hearing impaired at the workplace to help you target companies for specific disabilities.   • When you approach a company – you need to be well prepared by knowing the company, sector, types of jobs and typical worries of the sector. It is very important to build trust in companies by not making false promises, adding business value to company and supplying employable candidates.

  • Step 7 - Overcome candidate matching challenges

  • Over the years, premier organizations working on disability livelihoods have negotiated with companies to overcome challenges to find suitable candidates. Very often, educational qualifications do not match, severe disabled candidates are not considered, assessments are not inclusive and more. These negotiations have resulted in successful placements and have been listed in the best practice document below.
